Not all polarized technology is equal. Because not all polarized sunglasses block glare as they should. Having a polarizing filter is no guarantee of an effective glare-blocking lens. It depends on the quality of the filter and how the lens has been produced. We’re in the business of creating the best polarized lens. Our process has been meticulously developed and designed to control the temperatures used to form the separate elements of the lens together. The polarizing filter is at the centre of the lens – where it’s fully protected from the heat. Injection moulding is a popular method for manufacturing sunglasses. It’s recognised as offering lenses with good optical performance, but there are drawbacks. This method begins with melted polycarbonate or polymide that’s injected into a mould containing a polarized insert. When cool, the lens is removed. Injection moulding exposes the polarizer to direct heat – which can damage and distort the polarizing filter. Ultimately, the wearer suffers from an inferior lens that doesn’t block glare.
