Transitions Optical to host roundtable at 2010 World Congress of
Optometry and Refractive Error
Continuing with its global commitment to advancing healthy sight, Transitions Optical will be
hosting a roundtable at the 2010 World Congress on Refractive Error to be held at the
International Convention Centre in Durban from 20 to 22 September 2010.
The roundtable, to be chaired by 30 international and highly-acclaimed ECPs, will explore
obstacles ECPs face when providing unique vision care and vision wear needs to children, as well
as identifying strategies the optical industry as a whole can embrace to overcome these
obstacles.
ECPs hosting and attending the roundtable will be encouraged to share their expertise and
suggestions on how to treat and minimise special risk factors in children, such as unrecognised or
uncorrected refractive errors, strabismus and amblyopia, as well as trauma and ultraviolet
radiation (UVR) protection.
"Transitions Optical remains a committed and supportive partner in this fight to help prevent
unnecessary vision impairment and promote a lifetime of healthy sight for children," says
Emmanuelle Ribot-Mariotte, ECP Marketing Manager, Transitions Optical EMEA (Europe, Middle
East and Africa).
