The Opportunity:
As a Sales Consultant, you will be responsible for driving sales growth within Gauteng by building strong relationships with optometrists, opticians, and other eye care professionals. You will leverage your extensive product knowledge to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions that enhance their practice and patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
Actively promote and sell our comprehensive range of optometry products, including:
Optometry Supplies and Sundries
Contact Lenses
Solutions
Low Vision Aids
Reading Charts
Fluorescein Strips
Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients through regular visits, presentations, and product demonstrations.
Provide expert product knowledge and technical support to clients.
Identify client needs and recommend appropriate products and solutions.
Achieve and exceed sales targets and objectives.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, new products, and competitor activities.
Manage your sales territory effectively, including planning and scheduling appointments.
Prepare and present sales proposals and quotations.
Attend industry events and conferences as required.
Provide timely and accurate sales reports.
What You Bring:
Proven track record of success in sales, preferably within the optometry industry.
Extensive and in-depth knowledge of the following product categories:
Optometry supplies and sundries
Contact lenses
Solutions
Low Vision Aids
Reading charts
Fluorescein strips
Strong understanding of optometry practices and the needs of eye care professionals.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to build rapport and establish long-term relationships with clients.
Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within the assigned territory.
Bonus Points:
Formal qualification in optometry or a related field.
Existing network of contacts within the optometry industry.
