Job Title:  Qualified Dispensing Optician (Overseas Opportunity)

Location:  International – 12-Month Contract

Experience Required:  Minimum 3 years

We’re seeking a qualified Dispensing Optician with at least 3 years of experience, who is emotionally intelligent, adaptable, and a true team player.  You’ll be working alongside a dynamic and supportive team, providing outstanding patient care and making a real difference in a new community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately dispense prescription eyewear and lenses
• Provide exceptional customer service with a patient-first approach
• Work collaboratively with optometrists and support staff to ensure smooth clinic operations
• Offer informed advice on frame styles, lens types and aftercare
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of optical products and industry trends
• Support the development of junior staff, when applicable

What we’re looking for:

• A fully qualified and registered Dispensing Optician
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role
• Valid Drivers Licence
• Registered with HPCSA
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• High levels of emotional intelligence and empathy
• Friendly and outgoing personality
• A team-oriented mindset and a positive, flexible attitude
• Willingness to embrace a new culture and way of life
