This year’s Cutting Edge Seminar was held at the Lord Charles Hotel in Somerset West, Western Cape.
The conference brought together leading experts, practitioners, and companies (sponsors) in the field of vision care. Topics discussed included Diabetic Retinopathy treatment, nutrition and the eyes, myopia control strategies and panel discussion, NHI, supplementation, evidence-based vision therapy, animal sight, fundamentals in OCT reports, Thyroid eye disease, and the paediatric examination. This was followed by a hands-on scleral lens fitting workshop presented by Innocon.
The conference was well supported and the discussions and presentations showcased the commitment of optometrists to advance the field through innovation and collaboration, but more importantly, improve patient care and outcomes.
