Enter Now:

The Dis-Chem Ride for Sight, road cycling event, will be held on 19 February 2023. This popular event is again sponsored by Dis-Chem Pharmacies and is a seeding event for the 2023 Virgin Active, Ride Joburg 947, and the 2024 Cape Town Cycle Tour.

This is a great value-for-money event with pre-entry participants in line for amazing gifts and vouchers. They will receive a superior Dis-Chem goody bag, a Vision Works free eye care assessment voucher, and a shopping voucher from Cycle Lab.

The 116km Super Classic will be contested by the cream of South African cyclists and cash prizes will be awarded in all the Cycling South Africa racing categories.

The 62km “DS – your life demands” fun ride caters to young “wannabe” professionals and fun riders alike.

All entrants will be eligible for one of the lucky draw prizes worth R83 000.

The top prizes include a Venter Bike trailer, a Sealy Posturepedic Queen-size base set, sunglasses, hotel accommodation vouchers, and many more.

A superb road bike valued at R20 000 from Cycle Lab is the prize in the donation draw.  Retina South Africa would like to acknowledge the Dis-Chem Foundation who have once again pledged to match all participant donations to this special competition, of amounts over and above their entry fee.  We are appreciative of and grateful for each, and every cyclist who rides for the cause.

Pre-enter at before February 8th.

All proceeds from the event go directly to finding treatments for retinal blindness and empowering people with retinal vision loss. This event has raised over R10m over the last 33 years and remains one of the most popular cycling events on the Gauteng calendar.
